Reflections from the Tuesday Prayer Gathering | October 27, 2026
How can we rest in the Lord when life feels noisy or uncertain? Psalm 37:7 calls us to rest in Him and wait patiently. We begin by turning our attention to Christ, laying down the pressure to earn His approval, and trusting what He has already accomplished for us.
During our Tuesday Prayer Gathering on October 27, 2026, we shared a prophetic message that I wanted to make available to those who could not join us. Its opening invitation was simple: stop striving in your own strength and rest in what Christ has already made available.
Sometimes we approach our relationship with God as though deeper intimacy depends on trying harder. But we are invited to know Him, receive from His Spirit, and grow in our understanding of what Jesus has accomplished.
The message also speaks about spiritual discernment, humility, and a coming move of God among the nations. As Teresa and I prepare for our year of ministry in Africa, these themes are especially meaningful to us.
I encourage you to read prayerfully, weigh what is shared against Scripture, and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into a deeper relationship with Christ.
What Does It Mean to Rest in the Lord?
Resting in the Lord does not mean that we stop praying, growing, or obeying Him. It means we stop treating intimacy with Christ as something we can achieve through effort alone. His invitation is to come near and depend on Him.
- Bring your burdens to Jesus. In Matthew 11:28–30, Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him.
- Make room to listen. Spend time in prayer and Scripture, asking the Holy Spirit to help you recognize His leading.
- Abide in Christ. In John 15:4–5, Jesus describes a life that bears fruit through remaining connected to Him.
With that invitation in mind, here is the message shared during our prayer gathering.
A Prophetic Message Shared October 27, 2026
I hear the Lord saying this:
It’s not a matter of striving. It’s not a matter of pushing with your own strength, but of allowing My Spirit to push through you—beyond the distractions and beyond the realms of this world that try to hold you back from fulfilling everything that I have for you, says the Lord. Stop striving to complete it, and simply rest, knowing that I have completed you. I have invited you into My presence and into everything I’ve made available to you.
No matter where you are in your walk with Me, says the Lord, you can have what I have made available for you. I’m not disappointed in you. I’m not waiting for you to do something more than you already have. I’m not waiting on you to get past something that’s holding you back. I am simply offering Myself to you, to lift you into a realm that has been available all this time.
As you become more aware of My presence and more accustomed to this realm of the Spirit, says the Lord, you will receive more of what I have for you. You’re not trying to become what you are. You already are. You are already My child. You’re already filled with My Spirit. Now you’re growing and receiving an understanding of what I’ve done, and the ability to put to death the things of the flesh, so that the realm of the Spirit becomes more real to you than the flesh you see with your eyes and feel with your being.
Now is the time for you to come away with Me and receive, from the secret place, the things that are available in this realm.
Just as things are changing in the natural, and becoming more apparent in areas of technology and even politics—things that have always been there, but that people were not aware of—so it is in the realm of the Spirit. There are things that have been available all this time, but My children are waking up. They are entering into something they haven’t entered into before.
Be among those willing to step beyond the understanding of the flesh, walk in the realms of the Spirit, and understand the Word in a new way that comes from revelation within—not simply the understanding of your own mind, but the understanding and grace that come from the realm of the Spirit. What has always been available is now coming into manifestation in a new way, unlike what has been seen in times past.
We are entering into another season, when My people are able to receive from Me—not because I withheld it before, or didn’t want to do it before, but because of the times and seasons in which My Spirit and My people operate, and the places they come to in the realms of the Spirit, according to their understanding. A new understanding has come to the body of Christ. There is a new revelation, a new layer of revelation beyond what has been seen in times past, and you have access to it if you will receive. I will bring you to the next place available to you, and you will see that there is an abundance…

Yes, yes, yes. As I’ve said, knowledge would increase. Knowledge of the spirit realm is also increasing. There is an abundance of awareness of spiritual activity, an abundance of awareness of things people have not known before. Some will say it’s weird. Some will say it is beyond what they’ve seen before, and they will be afraid and step back from it. But I say to you, there are things I’m doing by My Spirit that some will recognize.
Don’t be afraid of the spiritual activity you see in these coming days, for I am doing a great work upon the earth. There is much happening between the angelic, the demonic, and the move of My Holy Spirit upon the land. You will see many things change. In the natural realm, you will see chaos and things that could produce fear. But I’m telling you: do not be afraid, for I am moving.
Just as you see things moving upon the earth—the chaotic moments of war, rioting, and natural disasters—so too am I moving in the realm of the Spirit, positioning things to prepare for an outpouring that this world has not yet received. Don’t be afraid when you see these things coming. Understand that preparation is happening in the realm of the Spirit, while the natural is manifesting in ways that seem chaotic and out of place. But the truth is, I know what I’m doing. I’m preparing people for a move that is coming in a way they had not expected before.
I must get the attention of those who would not pay attention. So, as you see things happen, some of that is My purpose: to shake powers, to shake people in higher authority, so that they might see that there truly is a move coming to this earth for which they must prepare.
I’m giving a final chance to some who have stood in defiance and said, ‘No, I won’t move the way the Spirit is moving. I’ll stand in defiance and stand against them.’ The Lord says, I’m giving a final chance to some. Those who say yes will be part of what I’m doing, and those who stand in opposition will be removed. You’ll see a quick work as I breathe upon the nations of the world. You’ll see a change.
Some will stand in disbelief. Some will say, ‘These are just natural happenings. These are things we don’t understand, but this is just the way the world is.’ Yet those who have ears to hear will hear, and those who have eyes to see will see My Spirit at work.
You’ll be able to position yourself according to the way I’m moving, and you’ll recognize it in your life. As each one stands where I’ve called them to stand, you’ll be prepared so that, when the wind stops and the smoke clears, you’ll be in a place you’ve never been before. You’ll be in a higher place, an honored place, a place of favor, because My Spirit is upon you and My Spirit is within you.
If you’ll allow Me, I will exalt those who humble themselves before Me and recognize My move and what I’m doing on the earth. When you humble yourself and recognize what I’m doing, you allow Me to do My work.
An Invitation to Draw Near
What stands out to me most is the invitation to stop striving and draw near to the Lord. If you are learning how to rest in the Lord, start with time set apart for Him today. Whatever season you are walking through, make room to listen, pray, and grow in your relationship with Christ.
