Thank you for visiting our website today!  The purpose of this page is to introduce you to our ministry and our hope is that you will find words of encouragement to help you in your walk with God.  Burning Truth Ministries was established in 2005 by Hans and Teresa Zandstra in an effort to obey the call of God to preach the gospel.  Burning Truth Ministries is a member of the Independent Assemblies and operates under their 501c status. 

Our purpose is to preach and teach the gospel to the people of Africa, so that they may experience a freedom from hopelessness and despair that is only found in Christ Jesus.  The ministry has many facets but I believe there are 3 main objectives.

Teach

The primary focus of Burning Truth ministries has been and always will be to preach and teach God’s Word.  The bible says in John 8:32, “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” Apart from the truth of God’s word there is no path to freedom.  Therefore our goal must always be to preach and teach the truth!

 

 

 

Disciple

After taking 4 trips to Kenya and Uganda Africa as well as ministering in several churches in the United States, it is very evident to me that discipleship is needed in the church.  Our goal is not only to convert people to Christ but to help them become a mature man or woman in Christ. This means training and development of an individual’s calling and relationship with our Father God.

 

 

 

Send

Many times when people think of sending they think of missionaries and those called to the 5 fold ministry.  However, not everyone is called to serve in a 5-fold capacity. We are not all Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers and Pastors.  There are many parts to the body. At Burning Truth Ministries it is our desire to help individuals find their place in the body of Christ and be “sent” out into that calling.

 

Our Core belief is that any Man or Woman can become a mature christian who can be used by God in miraculous ways.  There are 4 primary keys that we focus on in helping people find their place in the Body. These keys are as follows

 Prayer –
Particularly extended amounts of time praying in other tongues.

 Fasting –
Setting aside time to go without eating in order to put your flesh in subjection to your spirit.

 Private Worship –
Spending time alone with God telling him how much you love him.

 Meditation –
Confessing, reading and meditating the Bible.
